Little Highlights on World Cup Final 1983

The Cricket World Cup 1983 Final was the Third Edition of the tournament and It was played between West Indies and India from 9 to 25 June 1983 in England, and was won by India. The bits and bytes Cricketers of India gave Westindies the most Unforgatable shock of their life time in the final. 

In The Final:
  • The Man of the Match Mohinder Amarnath(India) contribute 26 runs and 3 Wickets of just 12 runs in 7 overs,
  • Top Scorer Krishnamachari Srikkanth(India) Scored 38 from 57 balls,
  • India set a Target of 184 for Westindies,
  • In Reply They Struggle from beginning, they lost 6 wickets for 76 and were all out for just 140 runs in 52 Overs, 
  • Top Scorer IVA Richards Score 33 and Peter JL Dujon Score 25,
  • India Winning the Final by 43 runs and completing one of the most stunning upsets in the Cricket history.
