Little Highlights on World Cup Final 1975

Cricket World Cup 1975 was the first edition of the International Cricket Council's (ICC). It was held from 7 to 21 June 1975 in England. Cricket World Cup final 1975 was Played Between Westindes and Australia, Westindies qualify for the final after the great performance in Semi-final against Newzealand.
In The Final:

  • Man of the match Clive Lloyd made 102 runs in 85 balls and Rohan Kanhai score 55 off 105 balls (Steady Play), Both of these Players give a stand of 149 runs Partnership for the 4th Wicket and set the target of 292-9 for Australia,
  • Australia need 41 runs more to win, Only one wicket in hand,
  • Thomson(21) and Lily(16) are not out, Just 18 runs short, Alvin Kallicharran of Westindies bought an end to the spirited 10th wicket fight with a run out,
  • Westindes becomes a first World Champion.
